How to Process Pay for Employees on Retainer Contracts

There are many different types of contracts available for employees and for self-employed people.  One that crosses this boundary and is used by both is the retainer contract. What is a retainer?

Often an employee may have a number of retainers and be self-employed in order to make up a full-timewage, so this means they are working for various people at one time.
